Apilox Editorial Guidelines ensure that all content published on our platforms is accurate, ethical, inclusive, and aligned with healthcare regulations. Our goal is to build trust, protect patients, and communicate clearly across all communities we serve.
These guidelines apply to all written, visual, and digital content produced by or on behalf of Apilox Health Limited, including website copy, in-app content, marketing materials, and educational resources.
All Apilox content must uphold the following core standards:
- Accurate & Evidence-Based — Information must be verified and medically sound, sourced from reputable clinical or regulatory references.
- Patient-Centered — Written in clear, respectful, and understandable language that prioritizes the reader's wellbeing.
- Regulation-Compliant — Aligned with pharmacy and healthcare regulations including TMDA guidelines and the Pharmacy Act 2002.
- Non-Misleading — No exaggerated claims, guarantees, or medical promises that could lead patients astray.
- Culturally Sensitive — Respectful of local values, languages, and contexts across Tanzania's diverse communities.
Health-related content published on Apilox platforms is subject to additional scrutiny and must meet the following standards:
- Health information is educational only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- No diagnosis, treatment claims, or drug promotion beyond approved use is permitted.
- All drug-related content must reflect official labeling and professional guidance approved by TMDA and relevant authorities.
- Content referencing specific conditions must be reviewed by a qualified medical advisor before publication.
The voice and tone of Apilox content reflects our values: trustworthy, human, and compassionate. The following standards apply:
- Write in a clear, calm, and trustworthy voice that patients and pharmacy professionals can both understand.
- Avoid fear-based, overly promotional, or stigmatizing language at all times.
- Content must be inclusive and accessible for both urban and rural audiences across Tanzania.
- Use plain language over medical jargon wherever possible. When technical terms are necessary, include clear definitions.
All editorial content published on Apilox platforms is subject to a structured review process to ensure ongoing accuracy, compliance, and public safety.
- Medical content is reviewed by qualified healthcare professionals before publication.
- All content is subject to periodic review — at minimum annually — or whenever regulatory or clinical guidance changes.
