User Safety
Your health. Our responsibility.

Safety is
built into
everything.

At Apilox, patient safety is not a feature — it's the foundation. From verified medicines to encrypted health records, every layer of our platform is designed to protect you.

TMDA-Verified Pharmacies Only

Every pharmacy on Apilox is licensed by the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority.

End-to-End Data Encryption

Your prescriptions and health records are encrypted in transit and at rest — always.

Patient-First Care Standards

Our clinical protocols are reviewed by licensed pharmacists and healthcare professionals.

24/7 Safety Support Line

A dedicated team ready to handle safety concerns, adverse events, and urgent reports.

Our Safety Framework

Six pillars that protect
every patient

We've built a multi-layered safety system so that from your first order to your last refill, you're always protected by verified people, verified medicines, and verified processes.

01

Verified Pharmacy Network

Only TMDA-licensed pharmacies can operate on the Apilox platform. We conduct onboarding checks, periodic audits, and compliance reviews to maintain network integrity.

02

Medicine Authenticity

All medicines are sourced from TMDA-approved suppliers. Our traceability system tracks every product from wholesaler to patient — counterfeit medicines have no place here.

03

Clinical Review Protocol

Prescription refills are reviewed for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and appropriateness before dispensing. Our licensed pharmacists are the final checkpoint.

04

Data Privacy & Security

Patient health data is processed under Tanzania's personal data protection framework. We never sell, share, or misuse your health information — ever.

05

Safe Delivery Standards

Medicines are packaged to pharmaceutical standards and delivered by trained personnel. Cold-chain requirements are maintained where required.

06

Adverse Event Reporting

We have a streamlined system for reporting adverse drug reactions and safety incidents — directly to our clinical team and to the TMDA as required by law.

Medicine Standards

Every medicine, traceable from source to patient.

Counterfeit and substandard medicines are a real problem in East Africa. Apilox tackles this head-on with strict sourcing, verification, and traceability protocols at every step of the supply chain.

TMDA-Approved Wholesalers Only

We source exclusively from wholesalers registered and approved by the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority.

Batch & Expiry Verification

Every product batch is verified for authenticity and expiry before being dispensed to patients.

Cold Chain Compliance

Temperature-sensitive medicines are stored and transported under monitored cold-chain conditions throughout the delivery journey.

Pharmacist Final Check

A licensed pharmacist reviews every prescription order for clinical appropriateness before it is dispensed.

Fully TMDA Compliant

Apilox Health Limited operates in full compliance with the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Act, the Pharmacy Act 2002, and all applicable TMDA guidelines governing pharmaceutical distribution and dispensing.
